Lazer Eyes!

Brave reporters Jason and Emily heard about the process – common in Korea –
of getting eyes zapped in a ‘lazek surgery’ operation.

Jason went to ‘see’ what it was like. Emily filmed him in the days afterwards.

* Posted in sympathy also for our editor Caitlin, who is, we hope, currently on the mend and more comfortable ( – and clean! – ) after also having been through the worst of this procedure just the other day. *

Questions for Comments (in the comments field, below):

1.) Have you had lazek surgery in Gwangju, or elsewhere?

2.) Have you had lazek surgery at the clinic in this video, or another one?

3.) What tips can you share as to how to deal with any pain, and the healing time afterwards, in the comments section below. And, how much pain were you in for the first day or so?

Questions for Discussion (at the work or school water cooler or cafeteria):

1.) If you have not had lazek surgery before, what did you learn about the procedure from this video clip?

2.) If you could benefit from lazek surgery, does this clip make you feel more, or less confident about the thought of receiving such treatment?

3.) In these days of the trend of some people wearing ‘straight lens’ glasses merely for the sake of vanity and style, and in Korea where the price of glasses is so (relatively) inexpensive, what benefits can you list for undergoing the pain due to corrective eye surgery?
