A random comic made by a random expat.

That may be the tagline, but Jen Lee is hardly a random expat. She’s a multi-talented artist who’s made the leap from teaching in Gwangju to working for a Korean animation company. Stay tuned for an upcoming feature about her journey.

Dear Korea is a series of comic strips that portrays the life and perspectives of an expat experiencing Korean culture. They are frequently quite funny, and always spot-on. One of Jen’s comics is featured each month in the Gwangju News print edition, but there’s more to be seen on the Dear Korea website. Have a look and spend some time smiling despite the rain.
