D’s Café Column: Morning Run? Coffee Stop! – Overleaf Café

Dear Reader, Happy New Year, 2026!! It’s cold out there; hope you’re surviving winter with warm drinks and cozy blankets!

This month in D’s Café Column, I stopped by Overleaf Café in Dong-gu, Gwangju, right next to Green Road Fountain Park (푸른길 분수공원). If you like walking or jogging through the park, this place is the perfect spot to rest your feet.

Overleaf is easy to find, and the atmosphere is friendly from the moment you step inside. The café has two floors, with many different seats, big tables for groups and small tables for two when you want a quiet moment. Sunlight fills the room during the day, making the space feel bright and fresh. It’s the kind of place where you can chat with friends, read a book, or just enjoy the calm vibe.

Now, let’s talk coffee! Their Americano has a strong, rich flavor without acidity – smooth but bold enough to wake you up. And don’t forget to try the cinnamon roll, one of their most popular desserts.

It’s a comfortable stop after a run, a walk, or when you simply want a break from daily life. A cup of coffee, a good dessert, and a bright space. Sometimes that’s all we need.
