Incheon Fairytale Village

Incheon’s Fairytale Village

I have been living in Incheon, South Korea, for the past year, and one of the first touristy things I did upon my arrival was to visit the Songwol-dong Fairytale Village. This cute village is perfect for couples to visit at any time of the year, but especially on Valentine’s Day because of the beautifully painted colors and popular K-drama filming spots. Another popular place to visit is the Namsan Tower in Seoul. When you get to the tower, you will notice thousands of love locks attached to metal spires. When I visited Korea several years ago, my cousins and I visited the tower and placed a lock on one of those spires. We wrote our names, thought about our hopes and dreams, and wished that someday they would come true. The reason I took this picture is that these locks represent more than just love, they represent a bond or an unbreakable commitment to whatever our heart desires.
