Club Nevermind, save the giant poll in the middle of the club, is a place you’ve got to check out a show at. Recently it played host to the 4th Gwangju Punk Day, an event that Adam started to look forward to each month, almost as much as his sweet, sweet pay check.
Nevermind has once again brought together local bands, some of whom have released EPs through Nevermind’s own label, and others who regularly turn up for gigs and festivals, making this night a bit of a Nevermind All-star night.
Gwangju is home to a large variety of bands, from shoegaze to electroclash, and punk is not excluded from the mix.
Even the most anti-winter, beach-loving, hot weather junkies can find something fun and enjoyable to do here. Take some ideas from Kerri Strothard, who entered her fourth Korean winter in 2011.
The Seoul-based musical talent booking agency Super Color Super brought a touring party of five bands to play in Gwangju’s downtown performance venue Club Nevermind in 2011.
