Photo of the Month – June 2026
Lanterns of Spring
Rows of colorful lanterns guide the eye toward the quiet main hall of Wonhyo Temple on the slopes of Mt. Mudeung, where spring sunlight meets the calm of the mountains. Captured during Korea’s lantern season ahead of Buddha’s Birthday, the scene reflects both celebration and stillness – a moment where nature, tradition, and spirituality quietly coexist. The lanterns symbolize hope, wisdom, and enlightenment in Korean Buddhist culture.
