Photo of the Month – August 2026
City of Light: Gwangju at Dusk
A dramatic band of deep amber-orange blazed across the horizon
between the dark mountain ridgeline and a thick cloud ceiling.
The sharp contrast of the brooding cloud and the luminous orange below
gave the sky a strangely architectural quality –
as if light itself had been framed and hung there for us alone.
My wife and I stood awe-struck by the sight as dusk settled over the northern reaches of Gwangju at 8:10 in the evening, June 24.
