D’s Café Column: Aesthetic April – A Quiet Cozy Café Around the Corner – Dear Moon
By Dhivyaa S. P. ||
Sometimes a small café can make an ordinary evening feel warm and calm.
One night, I visited a café called Dear Moon in Hwajeong-dong. The café is known for its Greek yogurt desserts. Many people visit for the strawberry banana Greek yogurt, fig Greek yogurt, and seasonal fruit toast. The ingredients taste fresh and light. It feels like a simple but healthy dessert choice.
The space inside is limited. There are only a few tables, so it feels quiet and personal. The interior is cute and cozy. Soft lighting makes the place feel calm. I went during the evening, and the warm lights made the café feel even more comfortable.
There is also a large LED screen inside. It plays music videos while you sit and enjoy your food. It adds a fun and relaxing atmosphere to the café. In the past, the café had a cat that lived there. Many customers loved seeing the cat while they visited. But because of a new law, the cat is no longer in the café.
There are also a few couple of rules for visitors. Each person needs to order at least one drink. The café time is limited to two hours so that other guests can also use the space.
The café has numerous drinks for customers to enjoy. The peanut cream latte and milk tea are often mentioned in reviews for their smooth taste. Many people also recommend the kaya butter toast, which is known for being crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Parking is possible in front of the café. If the flower pots or the entrance sign is blocking the space, you can ask the staff and they will move them for you.
Overall, it is a nice place to spend some time with a friend. The space is small, but it feels warm and peaceful. It is a good place for quiet conversation and a relaxing evening.
